Whole Foods Market
Fifteen years ago, Jessica Agneessens walked into a Whole Foods Market in Madison, Wisconsin, hoping for a job that would give her a discount on groceries while she finished her undergraduate degree. What she found was a rewarding new career path instead.
From cashier to financial trainer to marketer and cultural warrior, Jessica has since held a variety of positions at Whole Foods, carrying out each one with a fiery spirit and a love of the company’s mission. Now, her passion, organizational acuteness and downright scrappiness has landed her at the helm of Whole Foods Market’s Training Organization. As creator of the company’s training material for leaders, she helps prepare leaders, both inside and outside of Whole Foods Market, to lead by creating a culture of meaning and purpose.
